STUDIO POLICIES, RULES, AND REGULATIONS.

Minimum Age:

You must be 18 years or older to participate in classes at The MVMNT Society.

Personal Belongings:

You agree that we are in no way responsible for your personal belongings while you are present in the studio. You assume all risk of loss for any of your personal belongings.

Dress Code:

You are required to arrive with appropriate personal hygiene and workout attire (i.e., with grip socks for Mat Sculpt, Mat Pilates, Mat Strength, and Barre classes, clean sneakers for all other classes, and comfortable activewear). No individual will be allowed to participate in inappropriate attire and must be free of excessive perfume or body odor. We reserve the right to determine at our discretion what is and is not appropriate attire and hygiene for class participation.

Class Cancellations:

For credits and memberships that may be exclusively used to book classes at our Alexandria studio, you must unreserve from class at least four (4) hours prior to the start of a weekday class or by 9 pm the evening before a weekend or holiday class. If you cancel after that time, you will lose your class credit and the applicable Late Cancel fee of $15.00 will be charged to the card on file.

For credits and memberships that may be exclusively used to book classes at our Georgetown studio, you must unreserve from class prior to 9:00 PM the night before the class. If you cancel after that time, the applicable Late Cancel fee of $20.00 will be charged to the card on file, and you will retain the class credit.

For credits and memberships that may be used to book classes at all studio locations, you must unreserve from class prior to 9:00 PM the night before the class. The Late Cancel fee and, if applicable, loss of credit is then assessed based on studio-specific policies above.

You must personally unreserve from class while logged into your MVMNT account online or in the mobile app, or via a third-party booking app if such was used to book class.

No Late Entry:

You must be physically present at the start of class. If you arrive to the studio after the start of class, you will be denied entry. Your reserved space will be forfeited and may be given to another participant, including but not limited to those who may be on a waitlist for the class.

Waitlist:

If you are on a waitlist and a spot becomes available at least four (4) hours prior to the start of class time, you will be automatically booked into class and notified via email. Once you are removed from the waitlist and added to the class, the Policies regarding Cancellations and No-Shows apply.

Membership Packages:

Persons who purchase ANY single classes, introductory offers, class packs, unlimited memberships, on demand memberships, or future promotional programs or packages, are subject to the penalty charges for Late Cancels, No-Shows, and terminations.

Membership Refund:

All fees are pre-paid and non-refundable except as described in this agreement, the MVMNT Policies, or as required by law. The fees and terms of access for each of our membership levels are set forth online and in the MVMNT Policies in force at the time you make any purchases or renew.

Membership Freeze:

Members can request a freeze on an Unlimited Membership with a 12-month commitment for up to one (1) month for a fee of $50. Members must provide thirty (30) days advance notice to freeze their account. For medical freezes, including before and after childbirth, members are afforded a 1-month complimentary freeze to be extended on a case-by-case basis provided proper documentation.

Retail Refund:

Unused merchandise will be accepted for a full refund within seven (7) days of purchase. Returns will not be acceptable without a receipt or if the tags have been removed.

Auto-Renew Class Pack Memberships:

Unused credits will expire at the end of a billing cycle, unless they are used to book classes during the next billing cycle prior to their expiration, as long as the membership remains active.

If the membership or future reservations made with credits from previous cycles are cancelled, the credits will disappear and cannot be added back to an account since they technically expired at the end of the previous billing cycle.

Recurring Class Pack and Membership Cancellation:

You may cancel Auto-Pay for a recurring Class Pack with two (2) weeks’ advanced notice, or an in-person Unlimited Membership with thirty (30) days’ advanced notice. You may cancel a MVMNT on demand Unlimited Membership with seven (7) days’ advanced notice. However, there will be no refunds for any payments made or earned before the expiration of such period. Requests to cancel memberships may be submitted in writing via email or processed in the app or online. Membership must be active (not frozen) at the time of cancellation request. There is no additional fee for cancelling Auto-Pay on a recurring Class Pack. Early cancellation of an in-person Unlimited Membership with a 3-month Commitment incurs a fee equivalent to the rate for one month of that membership, and early cancellation of an in-person Unlimited membership with a 12-month Commitment incurs a fee equivalent to the rate for two months of that membership.

Unless a timely request for cancellation is submitted, memberships will automatically renew for another full term.

FEES.

You acknowledge that MVMNT charges fees for its services, and subject to the applicable law, MVMNT reserves the right to change its fees from time to time in its discretion.

Late Cancel Fee:

Refer to Class Cancellations section for Late Cancel fees for each studio.

No Show Fee:

At our Alexandria studio location, you will be charged $20 per incident if you do not arrive to class and do not personally cancel the reservation prior to the start of class. At our Georgetown studio location, you will be charged $25 per incident if you do not arrive to class and do not personally cancel the reservation prior to the start of class.

Failed Auto-Pay Fee:

You will be charged $25 per incident of a failed Auto-Pay.

Instructor Training Programs:

You acknowledge that any payments made for Instructor Training Programs are non-refundable and attendance at every in person training session scheduled is required. Participation in a Training Program does not guarantee a position teaching at The MVMNT Society or any other studios.

Private Group Classes:

Upon finalization of the studio location, date, time, and class format, the Private Group Fitness Class payment will be due and is accessible on the Purchase page of the applicable studio. Once purchased and confirmed, Private Group Classes are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.

All participants attending must create MVMNT accounts prior to their arrival at the studio via the website or on The MVMNT Society app. If any participants do not create an account in advance, our front desk assistant will assist with account creation upon arrival to the studio.

Grip socks are required for all participants. If anyone does not bring grip socks, they must be purchased at our front desk.

Classes are 45-minutes in length and will start promptly at the previously agreed upon start time. Participants must arrive ten to fifteen minutes before the class start time; the studio will close fifteen minutes after the class ends. In line with our No Late Entry policy, we cannot accommodate late arrivals.

Rental of the studio lounge space beyond the Private Group Class time is neither offered nor included in the fee.

Third-party vendors are not permitted. Our private group class offerings are not collaborations, partnerships, or brand events, and should not be advertised as such. If you are interested in a brand partnership, please visit our Partnership Inquiries page.

Violations of any of our studio policies or staying beyond the 75 minutes that a Private Group Class reservation allows, will incur a flat fee of $100, which will be charged to the organizer’s card on file.
